Getting a clean printout
Every puzzle page has a Print button that lays the puzzle out for paper rather than for the screen — the site navigation, the advert slots and the controls are all stripped out, and the answer key moves to its own page so you can keep it back.
One thing no website can control is your browser's own header and footer, which prints the page URL and date in the margins. Switch off Headers and footers in the print dialog and the sheet comes out clean.
Download PDF sidesteps that entirely and is the better option for anything you plan to photocopy. The PDF is true vector, so it stays sharp at any size and prints identically on any machine. Both US Letter and A4 are available.
Using these in a classroom
These are free to print and photocopy for classroom and personal use, with no attribution required. Nothing here is scanned from a book — every puzzle is generated, so you can press New puzzle to get a fresh grid on the same theme as many times as you need, and no two classes need the same sheet.
